Dr. Sharon Compean is a General doctor from Reynosa, Mexico. Dr. Compean studied medicine at the North American Mexican University, whilst also working as an interpreter for a medical NGO providing clinical care in Manos Juntas. After graduating she continued studying chronic disease management. Dr. Compean worked in the ER at the Red Cross Hospital in Reynosa and then as a general practitioner. Her experience working in the local medical system has helped create new pathways for our clinic to reach a high standard of care. Dr. Compeans’ advanced level English is a major part of helping volunteers acclimate to working in the field and navigating patient care. Her compassion is her clear commitment to the profession and the vulnerable population that she serves.
