Melanie has more than 25 years of experience in the social justice, human rights, international development, public health, and conservation sectors. She brings extensive experience in international non-profit organizational leadership and administration. She specializes in strategic visioning and change management, intercultural competence, conflict dynamics, and team cohesion.
Melanie served as Country Director for the United States Peace Corps in Belize and then in Georgia (country). She has served in a number of executive leadership roles domestically and abroad, and is a Certified Interim Executive. Melanie has 13 years of experience working and living in seven countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and is (non-native) fluent in Spanish.
She holds a BS with honors in environmental science from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, an MA in conflict resolution from Antioch University, and is a PhD candidate in organizational leadership through Adler University.
